The photos below are typical examples of none compliant ventilation systems. All of these vents have been closed of either permanently or covered with sheet metal or a roof. The idea behind these actions is to prevent water leakage when it rains.


However these actions prohibits the vents from working correctly in case of fire making these ventilators a huge risk to public and building safety. This can lead to cover withdrawal from most Insurance companies.
